Telugu Desam Party MLA from Kodangal in Telangana, A Revanth Reddy, who is the main accused in the note-for-vote episode, declared that his relentless struggle against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would continue till the TRS chief was dislodged from power.
Speaking to the media after attending the ACB Special Court along with the other accused in the case Uday Simha and Sebastian, Reddy stoutly refuted speculations that he would bid adieu to the TDP.
"I will continue to remain with the TDP till the end, and will win for another 25 years as the TDP nominee from the Kodangal Assembly constituency," he declared.
The Telangana ACB, which is investigating the cash-for-vote case, had submitted a supplementary charge-sheet against the accused on account of which they had appeared before the court.
Reddy and the other accused will need to appear before the ACB for further inquiry if summons are issued. The court told the accused that they need not appear before the court itself till summons were served on them.
Interacting with mediapersons at the court, Reddy accused the TRS government and KCR of trying to falsely implicate him in the case. He swore to expose all the misdeeds of the TRS government and KCR in the next Assembly session.
Reddy also made a scathing attack on the Telangana Legislature Secretary Raja Sadaram and accused him of behaving like a TRS worker.
Stating that Sadaram's appointment was illegal and unconstitutional, Reddy said he would soon drag the matter to court.
Meanwhile, YSR Congress Party president and the Leader of the Opposition in the AP Assembly Y S Jaganmohan Reddy along with Vijayasai Reddy also attend the court in connection with the disproportionate assets case filed by the Enforcement Directorate. The case was adjourned to August 24.
