Hyderabad Citizens Surprised By Sudden Rain

Rain, accompanied by gales, lashed many places in Hyderabad on Tuesday. Champapet, Saidabad, Dilsukhnagar, Vanastalipuram and many places in the Old City received significant rain. For Hyderabad's citizens groaning under a summer of highly unusual heat, the sudden showers were a welcome respite.

Heat wave conditions however prevailed over other Telangana districts including Karimnagar, Khammam and Nizamabad. According to the India Meteorological Department, though, light to moderate rains or thundershowers are likely at isolated places across the State.

The IMD however warned that heat wave conditions would continue in many parts in the districts of Adilabad, Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Ranga Reddy and Warangal in the coming few days.
