Three Ganja Smugglers Arrested, Two Suppliers Absconding
The police seized 120 kg of ganja, two cars, Rs 1,200 and five mobiles, worth Rs 24 lakhs cumulatively, from their possession.

On receipt of credible information, officers of the Special Operations Team (SOT), L B Nagar Zone, along with the Hayathnagar police, this morning nabbed three persons, namely Gandi Kota Kumar and Nune Vijender, both residents of Bairapur village of Nagarkarnol district, and Keshamoni Rajesh Goud, a resident of Ajalapure village of Nagarkurnool district, on the National Highway near Pedda Amberpet, in the Hayathnagar police station jurisdiction, while they were transporting ganja from Ashvaraopet and the Bhadrachalam agency area of Bhadradri Kothagudem district, to Mumbai.
The police seized 120 kg of ganja, Swift Dzire and TATA Zest cars, cash of Rs 1,200 and five mobile phones, worth Rs 24 lakhs cumulatively, from their possession.
A police press note said that ganja suppliers Rakku, a resident of Raju Camp, Ashwaraopet, and Sameer, a resident of Mumbai, were absconding.
The accused persons purchased the ganja at the rate of Rs 3,000 per kilogram in order to sell it at Rs 8,000 per kg. But while transporting the ganja, they were caught by the SOT of the L B Nagar Zone headed by Sathyanarayana, SI of police, and his staff, with the assistance of the Hayathnagar police, near Pedda Amberpet under the Hayathnagar PS limits.
