City Students Bag 1st, 2nd Ranks In TS ICET 2018

Sathya Adithya Thati and Y Sai Sandeep, both from Hyderabad, bagged the first and second ranks respectively in TS ICET 2018, the results of which were announced on Wednesday.

They scored 164.28882 marks and 163.90785 marks respectively, Papi Reddy, Chairman of The Telangana State Council of Higher Education, told a press conference.

The test is conducted for admissions into MBA and MCA courses offered by the Osmania University and private colleges across Telangana.

Reddy said that 61,439 candidates registered for the test, 55,191 appeared for the exams, and 49,812 candidates had passed making the pass percentage 90.25.

Since the universities were yet to complete the process of affiliation of private colleges, counselling would be conducted at a later date, he said.

The TSCHE chairman said that during the 2017-18 academic year some 28,000 MBA seats were filled as against a capacity of 32,000 in 304 colleges including government and private colleges. For the MCA courses 3,306 seats were filled out of the 5,846 seats available in 49 colleges, he said.
