Hyderabad Metro Receives Safety Clearance
The Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety issued authorization for the opening of the last stretch, from Mettuguda to S R Nagar (via Ameerpet Interchange Metro Station), today.

L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (LTMRHL) announced that the Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) Ram Kripal and team from the Railway Safety Commission inspected the civil works, tracks, RoBs, viaducts, stations, electrical units, signalling and train control systems, telecommunication systems, rolling stock and other components, conducted speed trials on the trains from November 17 to 19, and then issued authorization for the opening of the Mettuguda to S R Nagar (via Ameerpet Interchange Metro Station) stretch.
That completes all authorizations needed for the Metro services to roll out.
Shivanand Nimbargi, MD & CEO, LTMRHL, stated, "This authorization will enable us to operate the Metro trains from Nagole to Miyapur via Ameerpet Interchange Metro Station seamlessly. CMRS approval for the Stage 1 - Nagole to Mettuguda and Stage 2 - Miyapur to SR Nagar have already been received. This is a great moment for team LTMRHL and its partners, who have worked incessantly to make this happen."
The complete stretch from Nagole to Miyapur will be ready for operations, and minor pending works will be completed, shortly.
