Mahavir Hospital & Research Centre today inaugurated its upgraded cardiology department at its existing facility in Masab Tank.

The department was formally inaugurated by Dr B Bhaskar Rao and DCP South East Zone Patil Kantilal Subhas in the presence of several trustees, standing committee members and staff.
Chairman of the hospital Mahendra Ranka said, "In our pursuit of excellence, we have continuously been expanding and modernizing our facilities. Our cardiology, pulmonology and gastroenterology departments are equipped with the latest advancements. The newly upgraded cardiology department features cutting-edge equipment, diagnostic rooms, 2D echocardiography, ECG and treadmill testing. It also includes consultation rooms, patient wards, a pharmacy, and both general and shared rooms. The Rs 5 crore spent on the upgradation was generously contributed by several donors."
Vice Chairman Sunil Pahade and Trustee Treasurer Sushil Sancheti of the hospital said that the Bhagwan Mahavir Memorial Trust had 175 trustees. "Since taking over the management in January, we have raised over Rs 2.5 crore, secured an additional Rs 50 lakh in CSR funds, and received commitments for another Rs 1 crore. The fully modernized gynecology ward will be operational in the next two months. Our diagnostic facility and blood bank have also been upgraded to match the standards of corporate hospitals," they said.
The donors who contributed towards the upgradation of the new facility, Gautamchand Dungerwal, Mahendra Kumar Ranka, Maya Devi Jain, Shanti Bhai Shah, Hanumanmal Nakath Jain, S P Jain, Teja Bhansal, Veer Chand Ranka, Sunil Kumar Jain, Rajesh Pokerna, Sanjay Jain, Manish Jain, Manohar Lal Kakaria, Kushal Chand Kakaria, Anil Bohra, Pushraj Bhandari, Kamal Bhandari, Shaila Jain, Anil Jain, Sunil Jain and Kushal Jain, were felicitated on the occasion.
