Jilted Lover Throws Girl From Second Floor, Arrested
A 17-year-old girl was attacked with a granite stone and then thrown from the second floor of a building in Warasiguda for refusing to marry the assaulter.

A 17-year-old girl was allegedly attacked with a granite stone and then thrown from the second floor of a building in Warasiguda for refusing to marry the assaulter.
The gory incident happened on Thursday, around midnight, and the alleged perpetrator has been arrested.
According to the Chilkalguda police, they received a complaint early on Friday morning about a murder. Upon rushing to the spot, they found the blood-soaked body of the victim Najma (name changed) on the ground.
Investigation by the Chilkalguda lnspector revealed that one Shoeb, 21, a flex board designer of Warasiguda and a schoolmate of the deceased who studied in the same school with her from classes 1 to IX, liked the girl and had sent a marriage proposal through his parents. However, the parents of the deceased rejected the proposal. The girl's father later expired in 2018.
The police said that aggrieved by the rejection of his marriage proposal, Shoeb harboured a grudge against the girl and decided to physically eliminate her.
Acting according to a plan, the accused went to the victim's house on Thursday midnight and took her to the terrace. Her argued with her vehemently there, and then holding her neck with his hands, picked up a sharp-edged Shabad stone piece and inflicted multiple injuries on her neck. He then also hit her with a granite stone.
He finally dragged her to the parapet wall and threw her down.
The deceased was a student of Intermediate and a resident of Warasiguda.
The police too Shoeb into custody and registered a case under IPC sections 302, 201 and 354-D, and sections 11 and 12 of the POCSO Act, against him.
He will be produced in court for a judicial remand.
