69 Police Inspectors Transferred In Major Reshuffle
All SHOs of the L&O and traffic police stations, and a majority of the officers working in other wings and as DIs in police stations, were transferred.
In a major reshuffle, Hyderabad Police Commissioner C V Anand today transferred 69 Inspectors.
Senior officers of the HCP, chaired by Anand, conducted several rounds of discussions and decided to transfer all SHOs of the L&O and traffic police stations, and a majority of the officers working in other wings in the SB, CCS and control rooms, and as DIs in police stations, who had completed three years in their present posts.
As a matter of policy, it was also decided to conduct a 360-degree SB enquiry into the personal life, reputation and integrity of all those inspectors picked to be SHOs of L&O police stations and for the task force, and even for traffic PSs (police stations) as SHOs.
"Keep the honour of the uniform and maintain professional conduct," cautioned Anand, citing the recent alleged grave misconduct of ex-SHO of Marredpally PS Nageshwara Rao. He termed Rao's conduct as a "criminal breach of trust".
"Be an all-rounder in handling bandobust, crimes and addressing visitors, and ensure all officers under your charge follow discipline while discharging duties," he added.
