» Human Rights Appeal For Protection To Seemandhra People From Telangana Activists
“Protect Us From T-Protestors”
Lakshmi Parvathi has asked the State Human Rights Commission to provide protection to Seemandhra people from the foul language and actions of Telangana activists
Lakshmi Parvathi, widow of N T Rama Rao, has approached the State Human Rights Commission to request for protection to the honour, money and lives of Seemandhra people in the current explosive Telangana situation in the state of Andhra Pradesh. She took to the HRC office several clippings of newspaper articles reporting the vituperative speeches made by politicians and agitators of the Telangana movement.
She strongly condemned the violent language used by politicians - clearly stating that politicians of no region should resort to such language. The actions of Telangana activists and politicians also were saddening, she added. Threats of cutting off tongues and shutting down "Andhra messes" were offensive, she said.
In addition, she has also asked the CBI to conduct a raid on KCR's assets, claiming that KCR's men were looting the people - even the people of Telangana - of their money in the name of the Telangana agitation.
