The south-west monsoon is slowly spreading over the country. It has already reached the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and the Bay Of Bengal, and is spreading to other regions, too.
The Visakhapatnam meterological department has revealed that the monsoon will touch Kerala in the first week of June, and enter the Telugu states in the second week of June.
Meanwhile, low surface pressure is continuing in Chattisgarh and Odisha, and due to this it might rain in several places in the Telugu states. The department revealed that the intensity of the heat wave will however continue for two more days. (NSS)
