HMWSSB proudly announces that 77 of the 154 complaints received have been solved, and that the rest will be soon taken care of.
As many as 77 of the 154 complaints received by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, during its weekly 'Prajavani' program, were solved on-the-spot, while the rest would be solved soon, stated the HMWSSB's chief general manager (engg), D Sundar Rami Reddy, on Monday.
Rami Reddy said that the main objective of the 'Prajavani' program is to act as a bridge between the consumers and the Water Board, by facilitating direct interaction between top officials and the consumers, so that their woes can be redressed at the earliest.
Of the 154 complaints received, the Khairatabad Board office received 74, of which 40 were resolved on the spot, while the Gosha Mahal office received 24 complaints.
The complaints were received on Monday from the 14 operation and maintenance division offices concerned, from all parts of GHMC areas including Gosha Mahal, Red Hills, Narayanguda, SR Nagar, Marredpally and KPHB; and from the sub-division offices at NTR Nagar, IDPL, Sainikpuri, Chandanagar and Budvel (Rajendranagar).
Rami Reddy revealed that most of the complaints were regarding billing disputes, one-time settlements, new water connections, change of names, metering disputes and drainage problems.
At the head office, apart from Rami Reddy, general manager S Anand Swaroop, and revenue general Ravinder Reddy conducted the program.
At the divisional level, the general manager concerned conducted the Prajavani program.
