HMWSSB Facebook Page Helps Citizens

Citizens have been reporting prompt responses to complaints posted on HMWSSB's Facebook page.

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board has requested citizens to lodge their complaints on its Facebook page.

According to an HMWSSB official, its recently launched Facebook page has been receiving good response.

He also quoted a few examples to claim that consumers' grievances are being resolved within a few hours.

"I saw a pipe leaking in my colony lane. I registered a complaint on Facebook, and within a few minutes, officials replied saying that the complaint would be solved, and they gave me a registration number. Later, within a day, the pipe was repaired and updates were posted on Facebook. I felt that this is indeed the best way to communicate directly with the officials and get our problem solved," says Shonita Joshi, a Google employee.

On 26 October at 10.55pm, Ruzbhay Bapooji from Marredpally area posted a message on the page about a water cess issue. At 11.25pm, MCC of HMWSSB responded with a satisfactory reply and advised him to contact area manager Marredpally for further help. Bapooji texted back asking for the name and the phone number of the area manager, and at 12.25 am he got the name, Jameel, and his phone number.

"It's too sweet to be true," wrote another consumer, who had a similar story to tell of prompt service and a happy mind.

The official admitted that in the pre-Facebook times of HMWSSB, it would usually take endless calls and pleas before anybody responded. And, if someone did respond, it would not mean that the problem would be solved.

"Today, with the help of the popular social network, the Board has established a complaint and track system, improving upon the Hyderabad City Traffic wing, from whom the Board had taken inspiration to bridge the digital gap between the Board and its customers," said the official. (INN)

TANKER NOT RECEIVED BUT WAS CANCELLED AT YOUR END. Your office informed us that the same was cancelled for reason quoted here quote " Your Tanker Request on dt:29-05-19 With TokenNo:3409 Was Cancelled(0:CONVERTED 10KL TO 5KL1:User Denied).If any issue call:155313.
Kindly help us resolve the issue.
We have not cancelled the booking but office sent message stating that user denied. We have been waiting for more than 6 days.

Hi my house is located at ramnagar near to east mch park we are receiving dirty drainage water from last 3 months I logged a complaint by calling helpline but the response was not good .. now also we receive dirty water of 3 or 4 buckets daily after that we receive good water but we receive water for only 45 or 55 mints with low pressure I req authorities to check into matter and do need full that we would not suffer in summer ..

Respected Sir;
I am the resident Prashanth Nagar, Langer house, Hyderabad 500008 would like to invite your kind attention and necessary action at the earliest regarding following:
This is to bring to your notice that there are illegal water connections in Prashanth Nagar , Langer house (i.e. one house having more than one water connection) with the help of Shaikpet water department officials, because of which we are getting less water for single connection supply houses. We have complained the issues to higher official’s i.e. area manager Srinivas and you verbally on call but there is no action from past three months.
Few of the illegal water connection address in Prashnath Nagar backside masjid lane (first left)near Ntr Statue.
HOUSE NUMBERS NO OF CONNECTIONS WITH PIPE.
9-1-127/10 2 connections.
9-1-127/9 2 connections with 1 inch pipe.
9-1-127/8 2 connections with ¾ and ½ inch pipe.
9-1-127/7 2 connections with ¾ and ½ inch pipe.
9-1-127/A/6 2 connections with ¾ and ½ inch pipe.
9-1-127/A/7 2connections with ¾ inch pipes
9-1-127/A/8 2 connectns with ½ inch pipe
9-1-127/A/9 4 connections with 1 inch and ½ inch pipe.
All the above houses are pumping the water by using 1.5hp and 2hp . And getting the water more 15,000 to 30,000 liters for single supply. For single connection i.e. ½ inch pipe not even getting the 500 to 1000 liters.
All the above houses pay the bill of 212 Rs per month without any meters and they are getting the rent more than 20,000RS to 30,000Rs per month. And for single connection people also getting bill of 212Rs.
For past one year with the help of water department officials 20 to 25 illegal connection were issued. In our lane. we have 40 houses Approximate out of which 30 to 35 houses have illegal connections. So kindly check for illegal connections in their houses TANK or sump. Disconnect all the illegal connections from main line and not from inside the houses. Please check this matter with Vigilance police and fine them strictly and not with shaikpet officials.
Our supply timings in between 3 to 5 pm. Supply dates 21,23,25 ….April. Please check when the power is ON.
Kindly consider this as high priority and take proper action against the situation.

My door No. is 1-7-780 & 781 situated at Ram Nagar, adjacent to St.Pious Girls High School (2nd gate of the School), at Ram Nagar, Hyderabad.We are receiving polluted, filthy, stinking dark water through the drinking water pipelines of HMWSSB for the last 15 to 20 days. We request the authorities to kindly look into the matter to restore drinkable water at the earliest. We shall be grateful for doing the needful at the earliest as we are suffering from ill health.

My door No. is 1-7-780 &781, situated at Ram Nagar, St. Pious School Hostel gate Lane (2nd gate of School) at Ram Nagar, Hyderabad. All the residents in the lane are getting polluted, filthy dark water in drinking water pipe lines for the last 15 to 20 days. You are requested to please look into the matter to restore drinkable water at your earliest. Shall be grate ful for doing the needful at the earliest.

I lodged a complaint on 04-03-2013 and they gave me token no 2391, for sewerage, Drain water overflow from manhole, situtated at IDA NACHARAM, ROAD NO 14 FIRTST RIGHT ROAD. By this problem, our open well water totally contaminated by entering that water into the well. we are unable to use that water, we are facing a lot. CAN:614166282,HNO:5-6-688,SKD Nagar,Plot # 563,Manholes choking and sewerage blocked for long and problem persisting and pending for several months now. I am resident of 3-4-871/3Barkathpura and the can no is 54204832. There is blockage in the sewerline and the sewerage water is stagnant. It is informed that the line is broken hence the blockage.
Now who has to mend the broken sewer line on the road? If the user then why do we pay sewerage charges?

I am from Brooke Bond Colony, Padmarao Nagar, Secunderabad. I have lodged a complaint No: 9556 a month ago about a broken water supply pipeline in our colony and have been following up calling 155313. I have also spoken to Mr.Jameel the in-charge who was made to attend my call by a colleague of his. Mr.Jameel never picks up the phone though he has a ringtone repeating that Water is precious !. I did not understand that our time that for him our time is not precious nor our complaint. The status of the complaint has been recorded as work in progress though I do not see any progress since one month. I do not know whom to complain about this inaction. Anyone out there who knows how to escalate this matter ?

Dear MD, i am y amareswara rao, can no.612634994. I am very much dissatisfied with the service of your dept staff, as water supply is very very poor and the same is not at all sufficient even to control the thirst. Your people such as govind goud said to be a manager is not able to manage the supply to meet the requirement of the consumers. Further he is talking rudely to me when i wanted to explain the problem. The line men are causing troubles to us for want of money. I request your immediate action in this regard and see the water is supplied to us as per the stipulated schedule. Thanking you sir

I would like to file a complaint against HMWSSB Mettuguda division for not intimating us that there would be no water supply on 27th June. No supply of water is causing us a lot of agony since our bore well has run out of water and we are facing severe water crisis. Intimating us beforehand will prepare us to face the water problems.

Iam a resident of dayanand nagar,vidyanagar.my house being in a low level area ,the manhole ie EMAIN which connects raj garden lane in which there are 100's of apts, the drainage water is flowing into our house due to damage in the EMAIN.we have already submitted a requisition for the construction of manhole in the month of august oh 2011.but no action was taken .we are not able to understand what is the problem with the board to construct a manhole which is very important.kindly take some action so that we can atleast have our food in a proper environment with our children.
