HC Stalls Release Of RGV's Kamma Rajyamlo Kadapa Redlu

The court asked the director to change the name of the movie, and the censor board to take all objections into account before certifying it.
Hyderabad | 28th November 2019
The Telangana High Court on Thursday directed the authorities of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to take a week to first watch Ram Gopal Varma's latest film Kamma Rajyamlo Kadapa Redlu, then evaluate all the objections being made against the film, make any cuts necessary, and finally issue a certificate as appropriate.

The court passed the order while dealing with a petition filed against the film saying that it could engender caste wars.

It also asked the director to change the title of the movie as it was likely to create a rift between the two communities named in it.

The film was slated to release tomorrow (November 29), but hadn't yet been given a CBFC certificate at the time of the HC order, and will not release tomorrow now.

Varma informed the court that he had already changed the title of the movie to Amma Rajyamlo Kadapa Biddalu, but that did not result in the court cutting him any slack.

Haha Haha !
I would neither be the first time nor will be the last time that he came on the top court's radar. What wonders me more is that, how in the world, are the producers and financers fund him in making a new movie again and again? I am unaware of any movie in recent history which made any sizeable profits?
