Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, belonging to the Congress, heaved a sigh of relief with the High Court delivering its judgement in a case related to his educational qualifications.
The court dismissed a petition filed by TRS leaders Dubbaka Narasimha Reddy and Kancharla Bhupal Reddy alleging that Komatireddy had falsely mentioned in his election nomination papers that he had completed a B. Tech. course.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 each on Bhupal Reddy and Narasimha Reddy for wasting the time of the court.
The case had been pending in the High Court for the last three years.
