On account of the weekend holidays, devotees from many areas in the capital and surrounding areas poured in large numbers into the temple of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at Yadagirigutta and had darshan of the presiding deities.
All the queue lines were filled with devotees. Devotees in the free darshan queues were having darshans in four hours, and those with special darshan tickets were having them in two hours.
Consequently, the temple hundi earned Rs 32,44,290 on Saturday including Rs 14,05,900 on the sale of prasadams.
In addition, the temple also earned Rs 4.50 lakh on admission of vehicles to the hilltop, Rs 2,12,800 from special pujas and vrathams, Rs 2.55 lakh through VIP darshans, and Rs 1,96,200 through break darshan tickets, the temple officials said.
