HC Rejects Revanth Reddy Plea To Relax Conditions

The Telangana MP wanted to be able to visit the state capital for work, but the Hyderabad High Court declined permission.
Hyderabad | 3rd August 2015
The Hyderabad High Court today rejected the petition of Kodangal TDP MLA Revanth Reddy, the principal accused in the infamous note-for-vote case, seeking some exemptions in the conditional bail given to him.

Reddy had filed a petition in the court seeking relaxation of his bail conditions. Stating that being an MLA he needed to keep visiting the state capital for work, he urged the court to relax some conditions in his bail. (The court had given bail to him on the condition that he should not go out of his Assembly constituency Kodangal.)

However, the High Court gave some relief to two other accused in the same case, Sebastian and Uday Simha, in the bail conditions. The court asked them to appear before the court on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. Earlier they used to appear before the court every day.

Meanwhile, the ACB court adjourned the case to August 14. (NSS)
