The Supreme Court today took serious objection to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's remarks on grant of bail to BRS MLC K Kavitha in the Delhi excise policy case.

During the hearing of the plea to transfer the trial against Reddy in the cash for votes case to outside Telangana, the Supreme Court expressed displeasure with the Telangana CM's derogatory remarks against the top court.

The Chief Minister had said that the BRS MLC Kavitha had gotten bail due to an agreement between the BJP and the BRS.

The SC took the remarks seriously and asked if a person holding the position of Chief Minister could speak like that.

The bench headed by Justice B R Gavai criticised Reddy's behaviour and said that his comments would create doubts in the minds of people about the orders.

The court however added that even if criticisms came their way, its judges would not be bothered, and would continue to perform their duties as per their conscience.
