The Andhra Pradesh High Court, on Friday, cancelled the conditional bail granted by the CBI Special Court to Jagati Publications vice chairman V Vijay Sai Reddy on 13 April, in the disproportionate assets case of Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
While cancelling the bail to Vijay Sai Reddy, the court observed that the CBI Special Court has not taken a proper decision on granting bail.
The High Court pointed out that the CBI Special Court has granted bail to Vijay Sai Reddy while finding fault with the CBI for not arresting 13 other accused in the case.
The court directed the Special CBI court to review the case and hear the arguments afresh, to take a final decision on granting bail to Vijay Sai Reddy.
The court directed Vijay Sai Reddy to surrender himself in the court, and asked him to settle his bail petition in the Special Court.
Meanwhile, Vijay Sai Reddy's counsel informed the court that his client would surrender on Monday, and appealed to the High Court to direct the CBI Special Court to take a decision on the bail petition on that day itself. The court responded favourably to the appeal. (INN)
