TRS senior leader T Harish Rao on Friday welcomed the directions of a CBI Court ordering a probe into his assets.
Talking to reporters here, Rao said that he was ready to face any probe into his assets.
However, he alleged that the probe was part of the conspiracy hatched by the Congress party. He said that the Congress party used the CBI against anyone who did not fall in line.
He said that the TRS leaders were not afraid of the Congress, and that the people would teach it a fitting lesson in the upcoming elections.
Medak MP Vijayashanti, who had recently joined the Congress and is contesting for the Medak Assembly seat, also welcomed the CBI enquiry.
She said that the CBI could begin the probe today itself.
She denied the allegations of amassing illegal wealth. (INN)
