A Special CBI Court on Friday ordered a probe through the Central Bureau of Investigation into the assets of TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao.
The court asked the CBI to begin the probe after registering an FIR, and submit its enquiry report.
The court also ordered a probe into the assets of KCR's nephew and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao, and Medak MP Vijayashanti, who recently joined the Congress party.
The directions were issued following a petition filed by an advocate Y Balaji Vadera seeking a probe into the alleged illegal assets of KCR, his nephew and the actress.
It may be mentioned that the petitioner had earlier approached the High Court seeking a probe into the illegal assets of these three leaders. However, the High Court directed him to approach a lower court.
In his petition, Vadera alleged that these leaders had amassed huge wealth by misusing power. (INN)
