BRS MLA Harish Rao today countered the white paper released by the State government in the Assembly on the irrigation sector.
He said that the white paper was a web of errors and lies, and a false document, and had been introduced merely to throw mud on the previous government.
"The Mid Maner projects were completed during our tenure. Mid Maner was completed in 2017. I will resign as MLA if it is proved that Mid Maner was completed in united Andhra Pradesh," Rao said.
Calling the Congress' continuous pronouncements on the irrigation sector as a Goebbels campaign, Rao sarcastically asked if the white paper had calculations related to the expenditure made before the Nizam's rule, too. He also reiterated that the BRS government had opposed the gazette notification to hand over the State's irrigation projects to the KRMB, contrary to the Congress' allegations.
Rao also alleged that without doing any work, the Congress government had increased the estimate of the Pranahita Chevella project by Rs 35,000 crore, and that the foundation stone for a single project was laid in four districts.
