The Haj Committee of India, Mumbai, has fixed the airfare and the remaining portion of the Haj fees that has to be paid by the selected Haj Pilgrims, by adopting the exchange rate of 1Saudi Riyal = Rs 16.0729.
State Haj Committee Chairman Syed Khaleeluddiin Ahmed and Executive Officer Abdul Hameed said that the pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh who have opted for the Green Category have to pay Rs. 1, 03,800.
Meanwhile, the pilgrims who had opted for the Azeezia Category have to pay Rs. 73,750 before July 27, 2013.
The respective amounts have to be paid through core banking system only. The deposits can be made in any branch of State Bank of India.
All payments should be made to the Haj Committee of India?s bank account - Account No ?FEE Type - 25?.
The depositors have to write down their cover number, bank reference number, branch name and branch-code on the pay-in-slip. Payments cannot be made via bank draft/cash/cheque.
The officials said that if the deposits are not made by July 27, 2013, then the seat of the pilgrim concerned will be cancelled, and will be allotted to a wait-listed candidate.
They also said that the Shia Pilgrims who land at the Jeddah Haj Terminal and opt for JOHFA as Meeqat are required to pay Rs. 1600 extra per pilgrim. (INN)
