A lady Haj pilgrim from Moghalpura in the Old City has passed away at the Holy Mecca on Sunday.
According to the State Haj Committee, the pilgrim, 58-year-old Waheedunnisa, who was stationed in Azeezia, KSA, passed away due to illness in Makka Moazamma while on her way to the hospital for treatment.
Later, she was buried in Jannatul Moalla of Mecca city. She left Hyderabad to the KSA along with her husband, Khaja Ali, on October 3 on flight No SV 5463.
Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammad Ahmadullah, Special Officer Prof SA Shukoor and SHC Executive Officer Abdul Hameed condoled the death of the pilgrim and expressed their sympathies with the bereaved family.
The Executive Officer spoke to the family members over phone and consoled them.
The State Haj Committee authorities are in constant touch with the Qadimul Hujjaj from Andhra Pradesh, who is overseeing the arrangements in consultation with the Saudi authorities.
Meanwhile, all arrangements are being made for the return of Haj pilgrims from October 31. (INN)
