The inclement weather prevailing in the state on Sunday forced Chief Minister K Rosaiah to cancel his visit to Guntur district.
According to sources from the Chief Minister's office, Rosaiah was scheduled to participate in the function marking the 111th birth anniversary of Professor N G Ranga in Guntur district on Sunday. The Chief Minister also had a busy schedule, with a slew of other programs on his itinerary.
The chief minister was told at the Secretariat helipad by weathermen that it was unsafe to travel by air as bad weather conditions prevailed in the district due to the cyclonic storm. They advised him to cancel his scheduled visit to the district.
Following the advice of weathermen, the CM cancelled his visit to Guntur and chaired the review meetings over Jal, the cyclonic storm, at the Secretariat.
