All arrangements are in place for the two-day Telangana Rising Global Summit during December 8-9, reportedly aimed at showcasing the State's vast opportunities, attracting investments and generating employment for youth.
The State government has made grand preparations at Bharat Future City for the event.
A total of 154 international delegates from over 44 countries are set to attend the summit. Management delegations from renowned global companies will participate, including 46 representatives from the United States alone. Around 2,000 domestic and international guests are expected to attend the opening ceremony.
Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Verma will formally inaugurate the summit at 1:30 pm on December 8.
Nobel laureate Abhijit Banerjee, Trump Media & Technology Group CEO Eric Swider, World Economic Forum CEO Jeremy Jurgens, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Kailash Satyarthi, Biocon Executive Chairperson Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and others will address various sessions at the summit.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will speak at 2:30 pm. He will brief guests on Telangana's governance model, investment opportunities, government support, Vision 2047 goals and plans for India's Future City.
A total of 27 sessions will be held over the two days, for which dedicated seminar halls have been prepared.
Promotional material highlighting the specialties of Telangana and Hyderabad has been arranged for both domestic and international guests. These displays will be showcased from the airport to the summit venue in Future City using lighting projections, 3D projection mapping and LED installations along the airport approach road.
Following the discussions, guests will be treated to a concert by renowned music director M M Keeravani. A cultural program featuring Telangana's traditional dance forms including Kommu Koya, Banjara, Kolatam, Gussadi, Oggu Dolu, Perini Natyam and Bonalu will also be presented.
The State Tourism Department has also arranged a special tour for the diplomatic delegation to Buddhavanam, the world's largest Buddhist heritage theme park, near Nagarjuna Sagar.
The kitchens are fully prepared to serve guests biryani - a Telangana delicacy - along with other regional specialties during the two-day summit.
To make the visit memorable, the government will present special souvenir gifts to the delegates. Featuring the Telangana Rising Global Summit logo, the souvenirs will include a Pochampally Ikat shawl, Cheriyal artwork, Hyderabadi attar and pearl jewellery. Additionally, a curated basket containing Telangana-specific delicacies such as Ippa Puvvu Laddu, Sakinalu, Chekkalu, Badam Ki Jali, Sesame Undalu and Maize Pelalu will be gifted to the guests.
