Governor, KTR, Pawan Kalyan Extend Sankranthi Greetings

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governor E S L Narasimhan today greeted people on the occasion of Sankranthi.

The Governor said, "On the joyous occasion of Sankranthi, I convey my heartiest greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The harvest festival occupies a significant place in our cultural horizon, and is celebrated with gaiety and jubilation."

He added, "Sankranthi celebrations represent the best of our ancient and glorious traditions, and bind all sections of society together. May this auspicious occasion inspire noble thoughts of love, affection, amity and brotherhood in all of us. I once again convey my warm greetings to all the people on this joyous occasion."

Tollywood actor-turned-politician and Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan too extended greetings to the people of the two Telugu states. Kalyan expressed his wishes that the Bhogi flames would fill new light in the lives of the people, that the Sankranthi Lakshmi would shower prosperity on all, and that farmers would be very happy with a bumper harvest.

TRS working president K T Rama Rao and party MP K Kavitha also greeted people. In a tweet, K T Rama Rao said that the festival would bring happiness and prosperity to the people.
