Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy today claimed that there were many bills pending with Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, and that inordinate delay was taking place in clearing them.

He however said that Telangana had nevertheless been progressing on all fronts under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, and that the State government's welfare schemes and development programs would bring a comfortable victory for the TRS in the upcoming Munugodu by-election. He exuded confidence that TRS candidate Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy would win the seat by a majority of 20,000 votes, with the people having decided to teach a fitting lesson to BJP candidate Rajagopal Reddy.
"The by-election was forced upon the people due to the selfishness of Rajagopal Reddy. And the BJP is using Rajagopal Reddy as a pawn for its political survival in Telangana," Sukender Reddy said.
