CM, Governor Extend Ugadi Greetings
Governor E S L Narasimhan, CM Kiran Kumar Reddy and other leaders extended their greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh on the eve of Ugadi, the Telugu New Year.

Governor E S L Narasimhan on Sunday extended his warmest greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh on the eve of Ugadi, the Telugu New Year Day.
In a statement, the Governor said, "On this happy and auspicious occasion of Ugadi, the Telugu New Year Day, I extend my warmest greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh and to Telugu people the world over. Ugadi is a festival of joy and hope, and brings with it new cheer and expectation for a brighter tomorrow."
The Governor added, "I am confident that the Sri Khara year will usher in peace, prosperity, harmony and happiness to all the people and sections of society for a tranquil and fulfilling New Year".
Meanwhile, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy too conveyed his heartfelt Ugadi greetings to the people of the state.
Extending his good wishes, Reddy said that he hoped the New Year would bring happiness and prosperity to the people of the atate and to Telugu families residing in foreign countries.
In another message, PCC Chief D Srinivas too greeted the people of the state and Congress members on the occasion of Ugadi.
Srinivas said that he hoped that the state will witness peace and prosperity. He revealed that the PCC will organise "Khara Nama New Year" celebration at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday.
Former Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu too extended Ugadi and Telugu New Year greetings to all the Telugu people.
Naidu expressed hope that the people of the state would live in peace and harmony in the New Year. He also called on the people to eradicate illiteracy, corruption and poverty from the state.
Legislative Council Chairman A Chakrapani too extended his New Year greetings. (INN)
