Governor Wants KCR, Naidu To End Differences
Governor E S L Narasimhan will soon convene a meeting of the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh CMs to resolve the contentious issues involving the States.

Hoping that the New Year would bring growth and prosperity to the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, common Governor E S L Narasimhan on Thursday announced that he would soon convene a meeting of Chief Ministers K Chandrashekar Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu to resolve the contentious issues involving the States.
Speaking to media persons after meeting school students, politicians and other guests at Darbar Hall on the occasion of the New Year day on Thursday, the Governor said that both the States were moving on the path of growth. He also claimed that both the Chief Ministers had good visions for their respective States.
However, he admitted that Telangana and AP were having differences on some issues like the conduct of EAMCET. Stating that there was no response to the meetings which he had held with the representatives of both the States, he hoped that all contentious issues would be resolved through negotiations.
He said that he would invite both KCR and Naidu for a meeting at Raj Bhavan to ensure that they ended their differences and worked for the development of their respective States.
With regard to the seven mandals of the Khammam district which have been merged with Andhra Pradesh, the Governor said that he was in receipt of representations from the local MLAs who complained that although they were members of the Telangana Assembly, some areas in their constituencies had now become a part of Andhra Pradesh.
He said that he had referred the matter to the Election Commission of India, and that the Centre seeking a solution.
Earlier, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Deputy CMs Dr T Rajaiah and Mahmood Ali, several ministers, MLAs and other public representatives met the Governor and wished him on the occasion of the New Year day. (INN)
