Governor E S L Narasimhan and Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy have received invitations from the Bhadrachalam temple, asking them to participate in the Sri Rama Navami celebrations there, which begin on 19 April.
The head priest of the temple has sent an invitation to the Governor and the Chief Minister, requesting their participation in the Sita Rama Kalyanam on 19 April, and the Pattabhishekam ceremony the next day.
It traditional for the government to make offerings of silk sarees and ornaments on behalf of 'the bride' during the Kalyanaotsavam. (INN)
