Sri Rama Navami Celebrated With Fervour At Bhadrachalam

The celestial wedding of Lord Rama and his consort goddess Sita on the occasion of Sri Rama Navami was today celebrated in a grand manner at various temples across Telangana.

At the historical Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple in Bhadrachalam, the wedding was celebrated with religious fervour. In the Abhijit lagnam, the jeelakara bellam ritual followed by the mangalya dharana was performed in the Mithila stadium in the presence of thousands of people.

Endowments Minister Indrakaran Reddy presented silk cloths on the behalf of the State government to the presiding deity of the temple during the Kalyana mahotsavam.

People in large numbers, including from the neighbouring State of Andhra Pradesh, thronged the temple to watch the celebration. Several dignitaries, including Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram, MLC Tata Madhu, Telangana High Court Judge P Naveen Rao and others, attended the wedding.
