No Concern For Gurukul Students Health: Harish Rao

Rao condemned the government's negligence, and called it a "curse" for gurukul students.
Hyderabad | 3rd November 2024
BRS MLA Harish Rao today criticized the State government after 60 students from the Wankidi Tribal Gurukul in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district fell ill due to food-poisoning.

Expressing his frustration on his X handle, he said, "60 students fell ill, and the State government showed no concern for such a serious issue."

He said that the local hospitals were admitting the students in batches rather than providing immediate treatment, and held the State government accountable for a student now on a ventilator. Condemning the government's "negligence", he called it a curse for gurukul students.

Rao also expressed disappointment with the Education Department's silence, accusing it of aligning with the Chief Minister.

He lamented that the conditions of the gurukuls worsened daily, and said that the failure to protect their reputation was shameful.
