Former MP and BRS leader B Vinod Kumar today demanded that the state government issue GOs for the implementation of its six guarantees in the State.
He said that the GOs should be issued before the enforcement of the Lok Sabha elections code, and asked the State government not to play tricks by delaying the GOs until the election code came into being, and then postpone them in the name of the code.
He made these remarks while addressing a Karimnagar constituency level BRS leaders meeting.
He said that BRS leader K Chandrashekar Rao was going to strategise for north Telangana parliamentary elections in Karimnagar.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the people would teach the government a lesson if the Congress' election promises made were not implemented in 100 days.
He also said that the government should answer why Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak applications were not being enabled online.
Kumar claimed that he was credited with making Karimnagar a smart city with funds of Rs 1,000 crore, and that the BRS' pink flag would be hoisted on Karimnagar soil in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
"We are the ones that brought about the creation of Telangana State. We went to 32 political parties in the country and convinced 28 of them and brought statehood to the Telangana region. We did not form the TRS for power - it was formed for water, funds and appointments, and we fought for 14 years to achieve that dream," he claimed.
Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar and BRS district president G V Ramakrishna Rao attended the meeting.
