Senior Congress leader and former RTC chairman Gone Prakash Rao on Thursday asked the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders to stop projecting Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Prime minister Manmohan Singh as corrupt leaders.
Talking to media persons at L B Stadium, Prakash Rao stated that people of the state and country already knew about the most corrupted in the country.
The Congress leader reminded that the people elected Congress the second time due to its administrative skills and implementation of schemes and programs for the benefit of poor and middle class people.
Prakash Rao said that TDP leaders had no moral right to talk about the Prime Minister and Sonia Gandhi. He said that if Naidu spoke on corruption in Congress, it was nothing but a case of 'Devil Quoting Scriptures'.
The former RTC chairman claimed that the people of the state had rejected Naidu in the elections as corruption had touched a pinnacle during his tenure.
The Congress leader advised Naidu that if he was so keen to fight against corruption, he should form a front with leaders of like-minded parties, and wage a relentless war at the national level.
"If Naidu establishes this front against corruption at national level, I would also extend whole-hearted support to him by submitting a resignation to the Congress party", Prakash Rao vowed.
