The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday demanded that the state government provide government jobs to the kin of those killed in the Dilsukhnagar twin blasts and also to those seriously injured.

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday demanded that the state government provide government jobs to the kin of those killed in the Dilsukhnagar twin blasts and also to those seriously injured.

Talking to reporters after submitting a memorandum to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at the State Secretariat here, State BJP President G Kishan Reddy said that the government should extend all necessary financial assistance to the blast victims and their families. He said that the BJP has asked the Chief Minister to provide a government job, a flat and Rs. 10 lakhs ex-gratia to the victims.

Demanding stern action against those responsible for the blasts, Kishan Reddy said that the government should revoke the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) to check the terror elements. He also said that foreigners, staying illegally in Hyderabad, should be deported immediately.

The BJP leader also demanded the setting up of fast-track courts for the speedy trial of Lumbini Park and Gokul Chat blasts. (INN)
