Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Mayor Bonthu Rammohan and Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy today narrowly escaped from a building accident in Secunderabad when a wall collapsed a few feet away from them, on Tuesday.
Both the Mayor and the Commissioner visited the spot where a person had died after a wall collapsed and fell on him in the Chandralok complex near Paradise crossroads, along with higher GHMC officials.
Shockingly, another floor wall collapsed immediately after their visit. The Mayor and his officials had a narrow escape. GHMC officials sealed the 50-year-old complex and the road connecting it, anticipating its collapse any moment.
The Hyderabad Police issued warnings to people not to venture towards the dilapidated building.
