Playing catch-up to the TRS' high-voltage campaigning for the GHMC polls, the Telugu Desam Party is pressing in its national general secretary and young leader Nara Lokesh Naidu for a week-long burst of campaigning starting Sunday, January 24, in the Uppal division.
A special vehicle named "Chaitanya Ratham" has been prepared to enable a star-style campaign for the civic polls by the TDP leader. Lokesh Naidu is learnt to have put in extensive preparations for his maiden public speech for the polls.
According to TDP sources, Telangana TDP leaders E Dayakar Rao, L Ramana, Revanth Reddy and R Krishnaiah will be the other noted campaigners accompanying Naidu during the campaign.
TDP supremo and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who is to take up a campaign for about three days himself, has asked Lokesh to campaign along with these leaders first.
It is not clear whether ally BJP will join the campaign in the Uppal segment.
