The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), on Wednesday, cautioned all traders in its limits to renew their trade licenses before October 15th to avoid increased penalties.
According to a statement issued by the GHMC, the traders are required to renew their licences under sections 521 and 622 of HMC Act, 1955 for the year 2010-2011. Applications for the renewal of licences could be filed in any of e-seva centres/citizen service centres in GHMC limits.
The statement further stated that those traders who had not taken trade license so far were requested to approach the nearest e-Seva centers/citizen service centers in GHMC circle offices and apply for trade licenses.
The date of August 16th for renewal without penalty has already passed, and after October 15th, the penalty would be increased to 50% of the renewal fee in addition to the original license fee.
The GHMC further warned that those who did not renew the trade license or were running the trade without obtaining trade license were considered un-licensed traders, and the Commissioner, as well as the the corporation, reserved the right to confiscate their trade and goods as per the HMC Act 1955.
