Ganesh Immersion: Traffic Restrictions From Sep 7
The Hyderabad Police announced the traffic restrictions that will be in place from Sep 7 to 14 to facilitate the Ganesh immersion procession.

City Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy today announced the traffic restrictions that will be placed from September 7 to 14, to facilitate the Ganesh immersion procession.
As per the announcement, at the Hotel Marriott (erstwhile Hotel Viceroy) T-junction, the usual incoming traffic from Karbala Maidan will not be allowed towards Upper Tank Bund (except the vehicles carrying idols for immersion), but will instead be diverted towards the Kavadiguda X Roads.
The public going towards Liberty may take the route via the Kavadiguda X Roads, the Gandhi Nagar T-junction, D B R Mills near Indira Park, and Domalguda. Those heading towards Khairatabad and Panjagutta have to take the flyover connecting Ranigunj, Nallagutta, Sanjeevaiah Park, Necklace Road and Khairatabad.
At the Necklace Rotary, the general incoming traffic from the Khairatabad flyover will not be allowed towards N T R Marg (except the vehicles carrying Ganesh idols), but will instead be diverted towards Necklace Road / Jal Vihar or the Mint Compound road.
At the Telugu Talli statue junction, the inbound traffic will be diverted to Iqbal Minar, and the traffic going towards Secunderabad will have to take the Telugu Talli flyover and go towards the Katta Maisamma temple in D B R Mills and then proceed via Children's Park at Sailing Club in Karbala Maidan.
And at DBR, the incoming traffic from Goshala that intends to proceed towards Upper Tank Bund will be diverted towards Lower Tank Bund.
