Government chief whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy, on Monday, accused Telugu Desam party president N Chandrababu Naidu of being responsible for frequent adjournments of the House over the liquor syndicate issue.
Talking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party office, Gandra said that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy had clearly stated that it was not possible to place the ACB'ss report in the House as the investigations were yet to be completed.
He said that the report would be tabled in the House after the enquiry was finished.
The Chief Whip said that the government has already said that it would take severe action against those involved in the scam, and that there was no point in the Opposition demanding the ACB's report midway and seeking a judicial probe with a sitting High Court judge.
Gandra advised Naidu to relent and help the government discuss important public issues in the House. (INN)
