Another political party has taken birth in the State.
Started by balladeer and activist Gaddar, the party has been named Gaddar Praja Party.
Gaddar met officials of the Central Election Commission for his party's registration this morning. The registration process will be completed in a month.
Gaddar paid tributes at the Ambedkar statue at the AP Telangana Bhavan before meeting with the CEC officials. Speaking to the media later, he said, "My party will decide from where I will contest in the upcoming Assembly elections. Our State is today not a golden Telangana but a lost Telangana. CM KCR's policies are all wrong. In the name of Dharani, he has swallowed huge tracts of government lands. In 10 years since statehood the people of the State have not gotten anywhere near the desired governance. The administration is by only upper caste leaders. And so at the age of 77 I have had to form a people's party, to rid the State of the party of robbery. We have to take the help of the Constitution of India and prepare for the battle of votes."
"Telangana came into being because of the sacrifices of thousands of martyrs. However, we are yet to get our water and jobs. There is no people's rule in the State. The KCR government does not think that the people of Telangana have the right to even live. I am setting up a people's party to deliver high-quality governance," he added.
He said that he had wanted to awaken the people by staying incommunicado, but that from now on he would visit all the villages and seek votes.
