A total of 241 travellers were apprehended for various offences, comprising of 149 cases of ticketless travel, 10 cases of irregular travel, 81 cases of unbooked luggage and 1 case of littering on railway premises during the fortress check conducted at Kachiguda Railway Station.
The South Central Railway conducted the check against ticketless and irregular travel on Friday from 5am to 9pm.
The check was conducted under the direct supervision of the Chief Commercial Manager, Freight Services, South Central Railway.
As many as 24 Travelling Ticket Examiners of the Ticket Checking Squad were involved in the check.
During the fortress check, all the exit and entry points at Kachiguda Railway station were plugged. 91 trains including Express Trains, Passenger Trains and MMTS Trains were checked.
A total of Rs. 95,025 was realised towards penalty from these cases. (INN)
