Former minister and former Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Narsa Reddy passed away at his residence in Banjara Hills today.
He was 92 years old.
He had been suffering from age-related problems for some time.
Reddy had worked as the APCC president from 1972 for two years. He also worked as an MP, MLA and MLC, and as the revenue minister in then chief minister Jalagam Vengala Rao's ministry.
Born on September 22, 1931, in Malak Chincholi village of Nirmal district, Reddy earned BA and LLB degrees from Osmania University. He also participated in the freedom struggle.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy condoled the passing away of the senior Congress leader. The CM said that the services of the senior Congress leader as PCC chief and minister in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh were commendable, and that Reddy's experience was a guiding force to the Congress. He said that the demise of the senior leader was a big loss to the party.
