Former minister and senior Congress leader from Adilabad district Chilkuri Ramachandra Reddy passed away at NIMS in Hyderabad today.

He was admitted to NIMS a few days ago. The doctors of the hospital said that he died due to a brain stroke.

TPCC president Revanth Reddy expressed shock over the sudden demise of Ramachandra Reddy. He said that the death of the senior Congress leader and former minister was a loss for the party.

"Ramachandra Reddy had dedicated his entire life to public service with honesty and discipline. I pray to God that his soul rests in peace," Revanth Reddy said.

AICC state in-charge Manikrao Thakre and AICC secretaries Rohit Choudhary, Vishnu Das and Mansoor Ali Khan too condoled the sudden demise of the former minister. They said that the Congress had lost a good leader, and that the death of Ramachandra Reddy, who had worked tirelessly for the party and the people, was an irreparable loss to the party in Adilabad district.
