Former union minister and BJP senior leader Ale Narendra died in a private hospital in Hyderabad on Wednesday. He was 68.
Narendra was admitted at Care Hospital, Nampally, early on Wednesday, and he breathed his last at around 4pm. He is survived by two sons and a daughter.
Narendra had quit the BJP to launch a new party called Telangana Sadhana Samithi, which was later merged with the TRS. He was suspended from the TRS on the charges of his alleged involvement in a fake passport scam. Later, in June 2011, he rejoined the BJP, although he stayed away from active politics for quite some time.
He was also made a Union Minister of State for Rural Development in 2004. (INN)
