Akkineni Nagarjuna Has Close Call

Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, and 200 other passengers of a British Airaways (BA) plane, had a close call at 7am on Tuesday, with the aircraft developing technical snags.

The passengers of the flight owe their lives to the deftness of the pilot who observed that there was some problem that obstructed the smooth functioning of the airplane's tyres, and withdrew the take-off in the 11th hour.

The passengers of the BA flight have been accomodated in the Marriott and other airport hotels while the BA makes alternate arrangements. With high-flying business people reportedly forming the bulk of the passengers, BA is under pressure to ferry the passengers to London at the earliest.

Those at the Shamshabad International Airport let out a sigh of relief as danger was averted at the nick of time.

According to sources, Akkineni Nagarjuna was headed to London to shoot for a film. He is reported to have opted to wait for the next aircraft to London in the comfort of his home.
