Finance minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, on Tuesday, said that the state government would take a decision on the fee reimbursement issue on August 16. He added that the notification for counseling for admission into engineering colleges would be issued subsequently.
The minister said that the state government was in receipt of the recommendations of a cabinet sub-committee on the issue. However, he said that the government was yet to decide whether to accept them.
Talking to media persons at the state Secretariat, Ramnarayan Reddy said that
minister for Roads And Buildings Dharmana Prasad Rao was contemplating resignation, but that he was advised to discuss the matter with chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and other colleagues before taking any decision.
Responding to a quetsion on the Centre's green signal for establishing a second port in Andhra Pradesh, the minister said he also requests the Centre to establish a new port at Durga Rajupatnam. (INN)
