Telugu Desam Party President N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday took strong objection to the adjournment of Assembly without discussing any farmers' problem.
Talking to media persons, the Leader of Opposition criticised Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar, and the state government for its failure in tackling farmers' problems in the rain-affected districts.
Lashing out at the government for its failure in taking rescue and relief operations in flood-hit coastal districts, Naidu said that the TDP would take up a padayatra from NTR Ghat, Saifabad, to Assembly premises on Saturday.
He said that the TDP workers would also lay siege on the national highways leading to state capital, pressing the government to address farmers' problems on priority.
The former chief minister said that the TDP had demanded that the government lift all police cases against students who participated in the statehood agitation immediately, and introduce a one sentence resolution in the House.
However, the government failed to introduce the motion, and adjourned the House without holding any discussion on distressed farmers' problems, he stated.
