Fake Police Officer Nabbed For Cheating Many
Syed Tanveer Hussain Razvi posed as a police officer and collected money from people promising jobs for them in the police department.

The Commissioner's Task Force personnel of the South Zone, along with the Hussaini Alam police, on Wednesday apprehended a person who was posing as a police officer and had cheated many people on the pretext of securing them jobs in the police department and also helping them purchase police auctioned vehicles at low prices.
The police seized an ID card of the police department, a Press ID card, an International Human Rights Association ID card, a walkie talkie, a mobile phone and cash of Rs 85,000 from the accused.
The accused was identified as Syed Tanveer Hussain Razvi, 43, of the Hussaini Alam area. The police said that he had studied up to 10th class, was married 18 years back, and had five children. He initially took up the job of a turner, and later he worked as a driver and as a security officer.
Taking to crime thereafter, Razvi posed as a police officer as he had gotten familiar with the attitude of police personnel, and cheated the public and collected huge amounts. He collected money varying from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3 lakh from people by promising to secure jobs for them in the police department. He also cheated people that he would get them vehicles at cheaper rates during police auctions, and collecting money for that.
He also downloaded the police radio app in his mobile phone, which emits sounds similar to those by a walkie talkie and by a police siren.
Even his wife and children believed him to be an employee of the police department. To get status and respect in the society, he also used to introduce himself as a journalist of an Urdu daily and the regional president of the International Human Rights Association.
So far, five cases have been registered against him, in the Hyderabad and the Cyberabad commissionerates. Razvi was handed over to the SHO, Hussaini Alam, for further action today.
