Alleging threats to his life, former MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah said Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham should be held responsible if anything happened to him.
Stating that there was a threat to his life from Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham, former MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah said that the latter alone should be held responsible if anything were to happen to him.
Speaking to the media in Nalgonda town on Tuesday, Lingaiah alleged that Veeresham, who had a criminal history, had played a role in the murder of Nalgonda Municipal chairperson Boddupalli Lakshmi's husband Boddupalli Srinivas.
The former MLA further said that Veeresham was indulging in criminal activities with the active support of minister G Jagdeesh Reddy, and added that the MLA had even got an innocent person to level allegations against the Komatireddy brothers, claiming that they had given a "supari" to kill him.
Lingaiah also said that Veeresham was known for indulging in "settlements" with other party leaders, and claimed that the Nakrekal MLA had threatened him when he (Lingaiah) had undertaken a padayatra in the constituency.
He also alleged that Veeresham had made several threatening calls to him during the Nakrekal sarpanch elections, and that he was also complicit in the murders of Vasantha and the N V Prasad couple.
